Half of all Emergency Gear Guide proceeds will be donated until the first day of spring

Our thoughts are with the victims of Typhoon Haiyan and the people of the Philippines. If you have some money to spare and don’t really need that new gadget, please consider donating it to an organization that could use some extra funding right now.

NBC News has a good list, and we’d also like to suggest Doctors Without Borders, which already has teams on the ground and is able to act more efficiently compared to larger, more publicized charities like the Red Cross.

If you have a couple more bucks to spare and want to prepare yourself, we will be donating half of the income generated from our Emergency Gear guide to Doctors Without Borders until the first day of spring.
